
Pancake Cake with Poppy Seeds and Chocolate
It is a delicious homemade pie of pancakes.A great option for a family holiday dinner:
Ingredients
- 3-4 tablespoons/l flour
- 1 tbsp/L of sugar
- 2-3 tbsp of vegetable oil
- A pinch of vanilla
- 160-180 ml of milk
- A pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
For the filling:
- ⅔ cup of poppy
- ½ cup of milk
- ½ cup nuts
- ⅓ cup raisins
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 tsp of brandy
- zest and juice of ½ lemon
- ⅓ cup honey
- 1 tbsp of butter
Sauce:
- 100 g of dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2-3 tbsp of apricot jam
Instructions
- For pancakes mix all products in a bowl.Knead the uniform dough.Leave the dough for 1 hour.Fry pancakes in a small frying pan greasing each time.
- For the filling pour poppy with boiling water for one hour,then drain the water and grind in a mortar poppy/blender.Grind raisins and nuts and mix with poppy seeds.In a saucepan mix milk,honey and vanilla.Bring the weight up to a boiling and boil for 5-7 minutes until the mixture evaporates slightly.Add ground nut and poppy mixture into the milk and stir.Add brandy,lemon juice and zest.Lay a refractory form with a parchment.Put all the pancakes into the pile lubricating each pancake with the filling.Leave the upper pancake”naked”Place the form in a preheated 200 ° C oven for 5-7 minutes.
